Dear Friends,
My sweet Bunny Boy passed away in November of 2014.  I cannot describe the heartache I feel, but a surprise came to me recently when I was asked to contribute to another blog about my life with Bunny. 
Calvin's Paws is the rescue that helped Bunny and I get together and this is the entry I sent in.

Thanks so much for being a part of his adventure in life. I miss him terribly, but through things like this, he lives on.

Good thing I'm trained

Snowing outside and the heat in the house  struggles but the cat is warm and toasty!

For some reason...

The floor is no longer the place to launch himself onto my lap. Now it must be done from the coffee table first. I may never understand the mind of this cat!

Dishwasher instructions

Place dirty dishes in dishwasher.  Remove cat. Run dishwasher as normal.

Can't scrap without me!

I try to escape the clutches of this love bug and he follows me anyway. To the scrap room into and there he is, sitting on the part of the desk I would like to use.

Solution:
Park his bed ON the desk so he sleeps there instead.

The sun returns!

We've had so few sunny lately I think both Bunny and I have that seasonal mood disorder. Today...we had sun! He basked long enough to become impossibly hot and gave up. We're both happier now!

Here comes the holidays!

Just a note as the holiday season approaches.
If you have in mind to get yourself or your children a pet for Christmas, please consider three things:

First, a new pet is not a toy and not to be thrown away once the newness has worn off.  It's a lifelong committment and not to be taken lightly.

Second, don't buy, adopt.  Your best friend waits for you at a shelter or foster or rescue group.  Give THEM a great Christmas and give them a furever home rather than buy yourself a designer pet.  Think about it, an adopted pet is designed JUST FOR YOU.

Third, don't shy away from a pet with special needs.  They need love and a furever home too.  Most special needs animals require little extra care, so consider those pets that need a little extra special human!!

An adopted pet will always be your sunshine! (notice the exact position my cat/dog is in!)

This is what happens when you are hungry for the camera.  You have to get the picture taken before you've photographed the inside of his nostril.

Tastes like chicken

When I first adopted my guy, I bought a fair number of toys.  I bought him CAT toys.  Mistake.  He loved the frogs that I got, but removed their heads pretty quickly.  So, I switched to DOG toys.  He's a big guy and giving him a toy that fits him (and lasts a while), is the way to go.  And as you may or may not know, frog legs (or stuffed dog frog toys) taste like chicken!

Look how sweet and proper he is here.  Front paws crossed, oh so pretty.  Two minutes before this, he had run around the house like a maniac.  He's got issues, this one!!!

I got up from the couch and that little dork STOLE MY SEAT!  Tired cats win out over relaxing humans!
